Chinese culture has a long and colorful heritage. The school holds school-based activities related to different Chinese culture every year, so that children can understand and appreciate Chinese culture and history, cultivate children‘s identity with national identity, and establish a sense of belonging to the country. Chinese face-changing performance
Our school participated in the activity organized by Tsuen Wan District, and was invited to perform a Chinese face-changing performance to showcase the inheritance of Chinese traditional art and culture and cultivate national identity.
親親祖國‧童樂日
Our school participated in the “親親祖國·童樂日” organized by the New Territories South Region. The children transformed into little athletes and tried their best in the tug-of-war competition, which is worthy of praise!
The press conference of “小精英·祖國情”
Our school was invited to attend the press conference of “小精英·祖國情” organized by the Hong Kong Shine Tak Foundation. Earlier, K3 students of our school had taken the lead in trying out the table game “小精英·祖國情” and they all enjoyed it very much.

The “Mid-Autumn Reunion Children‘s Fun Day”

First Writing Ceremony
Our school is very honored to invite the principal of Buddhist Lim Kim Tian Memorial Primary School, Mr Ng Wing Hung, to our school to preside over the first writing ceremony for K3 students today. National Security Education Day
National security is an important cornerstone of national stability and the best guarantee for a better life for the people. This year’s theme is “National Security, the Cornerstone of Stability and Prosperity.” By introducing the origin of “National Security Education Day” to students and conducting a flag-raising ceremony, the children‘s awareness of national security is raised and their national identity is cultivated.
Tuen Ng Festival Activities
Coinciding with the Tuen Ng Festival, our kids all carried out different festival-related activities, such as observing different styles of rice dumplings, wrapping rice dumplings, rowing dragon boats, eating rice dumplings, etc., to understand and experience the traditions of the Tuen Ng Festival customs, deepen children’s understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.
Cheung Chau Piu Sik
Our school’s K2 and K3 class children, parents and teachers were invited by the Cheung Chau Piu Sik group to participate in the Piu Sik Parade to inherit the Chinese culture.
New Year parent-child activities for parents and students – New Year blessing bucket decorations
Organized New Year parent-child activities for parents and students to create New Year blessing bucket decorations together. During the process, parents and children used fluff balls to match artificial tree branches and hung different New Year decorations to create unique New Year decorations, which further enhances the parent-child relationship!

Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Festival
Children bring colorful lanterns back to school to enjoy the moon, guess lantern riddles, and taste the Mid-Autumn Festival food together, from which they can understand the culture of traditional Chinese festivals and feel the atmosphere and fun of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
K3 class visits Hong Kong Heritage Museum
From the process of visiting, let children appreciate the culture and history of Cantonese opera, and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture. In addition, children use different senses to explore and understand traditional Chinese things in the Children‘s Discovery Museum.
K3 class project “Chinese traditional toys and food”
Children explore different traditional Chinese toys, taste different traditional Chinese snacks, and personally make dumplings, sweet dumplings, sugar gourds and malt biscuits. In the process of exploring and making, children will encourage their understanding of Chinese culture.
K3 class students visit the Sam Tung Uk Museum

Parent-child cultural tour
Our school and PTA organized a parent-child cultural tour . Chu Cheong kids and their parents visited the Tai Po Railway Museum, Kam Tin Bin Mo Bridge and Zhou and Wang Memorial Study Hall to understand and experience the changes and processes of Hong Kong’s history and culture. Then we go to Kam Tin Country Club, a great place for children to play together, feed sheep, let go of boats .

Flag-raising ceremony on 1st July
The members of the children‘s flag-raising team held a flag-raising ceremony at the morning assembly. All the students paid attention to the national flag and sang the national anthem. Through the flag-raising ceremony, children should know the etiquette and respect for the country when carrying out the flag-raising ceremony, so as to cultivate children‘s recognition of national identity.
30th Anniversary Pearl Jubilee School Celebration and Graduation Ceremony
The 30th Anniversary Pearl Jubilee School Celebration and Graduation Ceremony was held at the Kwai Tsing Theatre. It was an honor to invite Dr Choi Yuk-lin, JP, Secretary for Education, Mr. TANG Huggin, JP Dist Offr (Kwai Tsing), Miss LO Yuen-ting, MH Kwai Tsing DC Members and Ms Tam Nga Ching Monica, Commander of Kwai Tsing Police District, to attend the ceremony. Students in the K1, K2 and K3 classes devoted their efforts to performing wonderful programs of traditional Chinese culture and art, adding color to the lively atmosphere of the school‘s celebration and leaving beautiful memories.

Tuen Ng Festival is a traditional festival of Chinese culture.
